Happy Earth Day! Did you know that Earth Day is the most widely observed secular holiday on the planet, and that it’s so popular it inspired the creation of the US Environmental Protection Agency? It’s true. For Scouts, every day is Earth Day because we are stewards of conservation and outdoor ethics. We’ve pulled together five ideas to help you celebrate this very special day.
If you don’t already know it by heart, learn our OUTDOOR CODE. “As an American, I will do my best to – Be clean in my outdoor manners. Be careful with fire. Be considerate in the outdoors. Be conservation minded.”
Go on a nature walk today and pick-up trash as you go.
