The Eagle Scout Commencement recognizes
the 2023 Eagle Scout Class.
Sunday, February 25th, 2024,
Randolph-Macon College, Blackwell Auditorium.
The Heart of Virginia Council continues its tradition of providing this event free of charge for the 2023 Eagle Scout, two guests, and the Eagle Scout’s Scoutmaster which will be underwritten with generous sponsorships by many Scout Alumni, Chartered Organizations, Scouting supporters, and local businesses. Each sponsorship is a tax-deductible contribution that directly supports each Eagle Scout with their Eagle kit including certificate, medal, badge, and pins free of charge.
Family members, Scout Leaders, and Eagle Scout Alumni are encouraged to attend this very special program to recognize the young men and women of the Eagle Scout Class of 2023. The event includes a special commencement address from a keynote speaker, recognitions of the Scouts of the 2023 Eagle Class, Adams Service Project of the Year Award, Eagle Class honoree and National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA).
College Tours for Attendees:
Randolph-Macon College is pleased to offer hour-long campus tours prior to the Eagle Scout Commencement beginning at 1:30 pm. Please register here!
Event Details
Attire: Attire for Eagle Scout Commencement is full field (Class A) uniform. Eagles will be on stage as part of the program and excellent photo opportunities will be available throughout the event. Other guests may wear Scout uniform or business casual attire.
Please note: By attending or participating in this event, you give permission for your photograph to be used to promote Scouting.
Eagle Scout Recognition
Eagle Scouts attending their Eagle Scout Commencement will receive a special embroidered sling pack for their continuing adventures.
Life Scout Honor Guard
Acceptance into the Eagle Honor Guard is a prestigious honor and includes a limited-edition, commemorative Life to Eagle Honor Guard patch. Their attendance is free of charge. Please submit your name and contact information to Chuck Sullivan.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Please consider how you can honor these outstanding young men and women with a special donation or sponsorship. Registered attendees who have selected a sponsorship or donor tier should submit their ads and congratulatory messages through the Eagle Scout Commencement registration page.

Star Sponsor: $100
Life Sponsor: $250 (Quarter page ad included in our Commencement program.)
Eagle Sponsor: $500 (Half page ad included in our Commencement program.)
Bronze Palm: $1,000 (Full page ad included in our Commencement program.)
Gold Palm: $2,500 (Full page ad included in our Commencement program.)
Silver Palm: $5,000 (Full page ad included in our Commencement program.)
Eagle Scout Photo: $60 (Special messages and one photo in our Commencement program.)
Individual / Eagle Scout Congratulatory Messages: $50 (Special messages in our Commencement program – no photo.)
Individual Admission: $35 (Eagle Scouts, two parents, and the Scoutmaster are free)
