Processing Eagle Scout Applications

Be sure to allow enough time in between turning in a Scout’s Eagle Application, allowing adequate time for it to be processed and planning your Eagle Court of Honor.

We recommend a minimum of 8 weeks from “turn in”, and setting an Eagle Recognition Ceremony date.

With the changes at the National Office, the processing of the Eagle Applications has been transferred to the Supply Division. This is actually beneficial in the long run because the Eagle kit can be combined with processing the paperwork and preparation of the certificate. Although this is streamlining the process, it is new, and they are in a learning curve.

We are all aware of the challenges in the recent past, at the National Office. Rather than being angered and frustrated over a perceived delay in the process, allow yourself plenty of breathing space, as you plan your recognition ceremonies.

If you have any questions concerning the procedure, please feel free to check with Chuck Sulivan, and he will gladly investigate the situation for you.

Sincerely,

Chuck Sullivan
