Friday, October 14th through Sunday, October 16th Hanover Courthouse Ruritan Park The Battlefield District invites Scouts throughout Council to attend their Merit Badge Camporee the weekend of October 14th at Hanover Courthouse Ruritan Park. A course catalog and event flyer, along with Medical Record forms, can be found on the registration website, linked below! The cost is $15 per Scout, $10 per adult.[Get Registered] |

Friday, October 21st through Sunday, October 23rd Chesterfield County FairgroundsJoin Arrohattoc and Crater Districts for a weekend of outdoor activities at the Pirates of the Appomattox Fall Camporee on October 21st – 23rd at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds. Registration is open and closes at 9:00 pm on October 17th. The cost to attend is $15 per Scout and $5 per adult.[Get Registered] |

Friday, November 18th through Sunday, November 20th Cub Adventure CampYou and members of your troop have planned, worked, and saved money for the last two years to camp in Alaska’s Denali National Park. Denali is as large as the state of Massachusetts, with only 90 miles of roads. You will be dropped off 50 miles from base camp and have to walk back in five days. You will cross streams, swampy tundra, and thick forests with a lot of “deadfall” forest litter. You may have to spend a night in an emergency shelter. With food getting low, you may have to harvest a few Ptarmigan with your slingshots. The scale on the map you were given is too large to accurately describe the terrain, so you will have to rely on your compass to find your way.
