Below are some examples of the programs made available by MedExpress and suggested Cub Scout adventures with requirements that can be met by participating.  These programs are perfect for all Cub Scouts and would make for a great themed Pack or Den meeting.  See all of the free MedExpress community outreach programs by visiting their website.

Germy Hands

Wolf Elective – Germs Alive!
This special program teaches children about viruses, how they spread, and the importance of healthy habits.  There is an in-person demonstration as well as a virtual version that can be implemented in a den meeting or over Zoom.

First Aid and Safety for Scouts

Webelos / AOL – First Responder
Earn a special MedExpress patch by participating in this demonstration.  Learn basic first aid and illness prevention, and go on a tour of a local MedExpress center.  They’ll also come out to your special event or Scout meeting!

Build Your Own First Aid Kit

Wolf Elective – Germs Alive!
Webelos / AOL – First Responder

This program educates children about basic first aid and injury prevention through a demonstration about how people get sick, how to prevent the spread of germs, and when to visit with a doctor.  Scouts can build their own first aid kits complete with bandages, gauze, antibiotic ointment, and gloves.
