Kenny Jones, Jr., Arrohattoc District Executive
My name is Kenny Jones, Jr. and I am the new District Executive for the Arrohattoc District in the Heart of Virginia Council. I started my Scouting journey as a Tiger in Pack 738 from the Cardinal District. After obtaining my Arrow of Light I continued my scouting career into Boy Scouts with Troop 799 where I eventually was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in June 2011, and since I had over 50 merit badges and was still a youth, I was also able to achieve a Bronze Palm.
In 2010 I had the rare privilege to serve on youth staff for the Order of the Arrow’s Mysterium Compass program at the National Scout Jamboree. During my time as a Scout, I also served in various leadership positions such as the Cardinal District Cub Day Camp Youth Staff Coordinator and OA Pamunkey Chapter #7 Ceremonies Chair. I went on to graduate from Longwood University in August 2018 with a BA in History and have been working part-time as a carpentry assistant and general installer since 2017.
I am super excited and ready to get back into Scouting because I know my life would not have been the same without this program. Thank you!
