Eagle Scout Henry Morin lived with a fearless passion for life. While adventuring with friends on June 4th, Henry died in a swimming accident in Albemarle County. Henry was supposed to graduate on June 15th, his 19th birthday, from Patrick Henry High School. He was planning to attend the University of Colorado in the fall to study aeronautical engineering on his path to becoming a pilot. Henry was an Eagle Scout in Troop 706.

“Whether it was skiing, skateboarding, or building cars, or anything, he always wanted an adventure,” Patrick Morin said of his son.  Henry’s life was tragically ended with so much ahead of him.

We ask that you keep Henry and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.

A donation has been set up by Henry’s family and friends in his memory. They want to create a legacy that will change the lives of other Scouts and help them experience Philmont. One of the highlights of Henry’s tenure in Scouting was his 10-day backpacking trek in the Sangre de Cristo mountains at Philmont Scout Ranch.
