Cub Scouters: We wanted to provide you with some answers and resources to the NEW and updated Cub Scout Program changes.

Cub Scout Advancement Modifications Made: (UPDATED as of December 8, 2016)

The BSA has announced modifications to adventure requirements in response to feedback from den leaders who have run the new Cub Scouting program for a year. Dens may begin using the modified requirements immediately as they begin working on their next adventure.

Upcoming District Events:

Recharter –  Congratulations to Ship 530 for winning the contest by being the first one to turn in a complete and correct recharter. They will receive a district t-shirt as a prize. The Final Turn in will be at the December Roundtable and by appointment by contacting us at battlefieldscouting602@gmail.com. Remember to turn in your Journey to Excellence (JTE) JTE forms for 2016 at the same time you are turning in your recharters. Klondike Derby: THE MMXVII HISTORIC BATTLEFIELD DISTRICT KLONDIKE DERBY

Combining the traditions and skills of all the great frontiersmen of the world, Scouts and Scouters will gather February 17th- 19th 2017 at the New Kent Forestry Center located 11301 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. More than 250 are expected for a load of winter fun! Besides the reunions, feats of skills and tall tales, there will be activities, challenges and prizes galore based on skills only

Pinewood Derby: Saturday March 25, 2017 at Church of the Redeemer Mechanicsville, VA.

Time:  Race is 1-330p  Working Hours:  10a-5p (Load-In, Setup, Testing and then Strike, LoadOut, Clean Up)

Day Camp 2017 : This can not happen with your help. If you want your Scout to have a great camp experience, we must have your help. We will assist you in putting this on but we must have help to do this.
