Description of Tasks
- Setup: We need Scouts to assist with setting up tents, chairs, and tables. Tasks include vacuuming the church building, organizing 4–5 rooms, and placing new trash cans as directed by the Coordinator.
- Opening Ceremony: On Aug 24, we will need 2-3 drummers or more, musicians, or a small band for the opening ceremony to play the national anthem.
- Festival Assistance: On Aug 24-25, Scouts will help with regular cleaning, emptying trash, organizing tents, chairs, and tables, and assisting with our BIG car parking lot to secure more safe and smooth movement in/out with the direction of our Coordinator.
The Church will provide all necessary cleaning materials, gloves, and other supplies.
Anticipated Needs
They anticipate needing 15–20 Scouts over the two days (approximately 10 volunteers or more per day). Volunteers should be at least 13–14 years of age. The Church will provide free light food, water, soda, and other snacks.
Troop leaders, volunteers, and their families are all welcomed to attend. All attendees will have the opportunity to tour the church to learn and discover more about their Coptic Orthodox Church heritage and the Coptic (Egyptian) history.
