Council Fundraising Events

Heart of Virginia Council is proud to offer special events like Friends of Scouting, Richmond Area Sporting Clays Classic, and Tournament of Eagles, and our 5K Trail Run as memorable Ways to Give.  We also offer several fundraisers to support Scouting in Central Virginia, including our Popcorn & Peanut and Camp Card sales.

Eagle Scout Commencement

We continue our tradition of providing this event free of charge for the Eagle Scout, two guests, and Scoutmaster with generous sponsorships and donations.

Friends of Scouting Dinner

The Friends of Scouting Dinner is the Council’s primary means to raise the funds needed to support and grow Scout programs in Central Virginia.

Camp Cards

Scouts raise dollars for their unit and help fund summer and fall camping programs by participating in the Camp Card fundraiser. Cards are sold for $10.

Popcorn & Peanut Sale

A Scout is Thrifty! August through November, Scouts are invited to sell Camp Masters Popcorn and Whitley’s Peanuts to help pay their way.

Check out this fall’s most exciting adventure yet, as we invite your whole family (and all your closest friends, neighbors, and race mates) to a race like no other.

Sporting Clays Classic

This signature sporting clays event is fun for both experienced shooters and novices.  Carefully laid out around the beautiful Cub Adventure Camp in Goochland County, the course consists of multiple stations with unique presentations.
