Provisional Troop 3 at T. Brady Saunders 2024
Provisional Troop 3, sponsored by the Nawakwa Lodge 3, was back at Camp T. Brady Saunders for its 4th summer during week 5. This year, the troop comprised of 25 campers from 15 troops across 3 councils including Heart of Virginia, Virginia Headwaters and National Capitol Area Council. Four of the five HOVC districts were represented. Here are just a few of our scout’s accomplishments.

106 merit badges earned! 2 Trailblazers graduates! 3 Mile Swim awards! 4 Standup Paddleboarding awards! Most improved marksman awards in rifle and archery! Unit spirit award winner!“It’s an incredible honor being a part of this special program providing a summer camp opportunity for these scouts,” noted Wyn Bedall, Provisional Troop Committee Chair. “It’s fantastic watching these young people learn from each other and grow over the course of the week. A huge ‘Thank You’ goes out to the adult volunteers who dedicate their time to making this program a continued success.”
