Cub Scout Day Camp: Wild West Adventure
Our rootin’ tootin’ Cub Scout Day Camp is its way to a local park near you in the Summer of 2025!
What is Cub Scout Day Camp?
Cub Scout Day Camp is often called “the camp that comes to the Scout.” Day Camp is an organized program for Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts under certified leadership, at an approved site.
Who Attends Day Camp?
Cub Scout Day Camp is a unique program; it is usually the first major activity for Scouts after graduating from their previous rank. At Day Camp, Scouts begin to work toward their next rank in the Cub Scout program, and we use the same ranks to identify age groups as your “home pack.” This year, we’re welcoming non-Scout buddies to join in on the fun, as well!
Please note that all Lions (rising kindergarteners) and Tigers (rising first-graders) must be accompanied by an adult partner.
What Activities Will Be Available?
Advancement has always been an important part of our Day Camp. The Day Camp program contains a well-balanced variety of adventures. Typical stations include Archery, BBs, Sports, and others!
Which Day Camp Do I Attend?
The choice is yours! Choose the week that best suits your schedule.
NOTE: Tiger Cubs or children who are in the first grade are required to have a parent present on the day of camp. This event is hosted by Heart of Virginia Council, Boy Scouts of America, and is open to registered Scouts and the public. Membership is not required.
We have numerous employment opportunities at our Summer Camps at both T. Brady Saunders and Cub Adventure Camp, and our Cub Scout Day Camps. We are looking for candidates aged 16 years and up to fill several paid openings, and 15 years to volunteer and earn service hours.

Learning Valuable Skills
Day Camp programs teach hands-on outdoor skills and promote the values of Scouting so that your child can use these new abilities out in the world.
Friendship
A Scout is Friendly. Day Camp reinforces the bond between all Scouts and helps maintain that relationship into the summer months.
Shooting Sports
Day Camp offers the opportunity for your child to experience hitting their target with a BB gun and taking aim with a bow and arrow.
