Scouting America’s National Outfitters Pricing Update
Effective February 2nd
Dear Parents and Leaders,
Since 2022, Scouting America’s National Outfitters has worked hard to hold prices steady despite rising costs across materials, labor, and shipping. However, due to tariffs, continued labor cost escalation, and broader inflationary impacts, limited price adjustments on approximately 1,100 SKUs will be necessary to ensure a reliable supply of uniforms, handbooks, awards, and essential program materials.
Beginning February 2nd, pricing adjustments will apply to select items across the Outfitters catalog. Importantly, Cub Scout uniform components will not be affected, helping protect affordability for families just beginning their Scouting journey. These changes were made only after exhausting other cost-saving measures, and Scouting America remains focused on providing quality, mission-critical products at the best possible value.
How Does This Affect Our Local Scout Shop?
The Heart of Virginia Council (HOVC) Scout Shop will receive item-level details soon, and our friendly staff will be available to help answer questions as families and units plan future purchases.
