Exploring Explosion 3.0

Opening Doors to Careers for the Next Generation

A new wave of opportunity is building for young people across the country, and it is called Exploring Explosion 3.0.

Exploring, the career-focused youth program of Learning for Life and Scouting America, connects teens and young adults with real professionals in real workplaces to help them discover future career paths. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and leadership development, youth gain practical skills, confidence, and a clearer vision of what their future can hold. Exploring Explosion 3.0 is a nationwide effort designed to bring these life-changing opportunities to even more communities.

This initiative focuses on starting new Exploring Clubs and Posts, strengthening existing programs, and equipping volunteers and professionals with the tools they need to succeed. National trainings guide leaders through four key phases of launching a new program, from researching community interests and building partnerships to recruiting youth and sustaining participation. Leaders are supported with proven resources, best practices, and a network of peers who are growing Exploring across the country.

Exploring is unique because it places youth side by side with adults working in careers they are curious about, including healthcare, engineering, public safety, business, technology, and more. These programs help young people build communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while seeing firsthand how classroom learning connects to real-world futures.

Exploring Explosion 3.0 also recognizes the effort it takes to launch new programs. Clubs and Posts formed during the campaign period are eligible for special recognition and incentives, celebrating the leaders and partners who step forward to invest in youth success.

At its heart, Exploring Explosion 3.0 centers on one powerful idea. When we connect young people with opportunity, we change lives and strengthen our communities in the process. If you are a volunteer, community partner, educator, or professional who wants to make a difference, this is the moment to get involved and help open doors for the next generation.
