CAC Camporee
Spring Family Camporee

Spring Family Camporee is an opportunity to wake up after a long winter and dust off the camping gear while enjoying a Spring Campout at the camp. The theme for this is event is “Scouting Around the World”. The time-trusted camp events of BBs, Archery, Wrist Rockets, fishing, and climbing are accompanied by BMX biking, so many crafts and activities from around the world, that change every year, and one “make-your-own” food station (Examples: Fudge in a bag, stuffed apples, ice cream in a bag etc.). Friday night of the event is a non-program night with check-in starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Welcome Center. The event is for cubs and their siblings of all ages, with scouts participating with their adult partner in a non-scheduled, free flow, carnival atmosphere.

CAC Summer Camp
Summer Camp

Summer Cub Resident Camp occurs every June thru July and is programmed for older scouts, Wolf rank to AOL rank, with an adult partner. The camp is 4 days and 3 nights of full-on fun and activity. There are 4 themes (Knights, Pirates, Space, Old West) on yearly rotation with the STEM activity and Opening show designed to support and re-enforce the theme. Scouts are divided into rotation groups by rank, based on rank as of 1 June, and are given age-appropriate activities and instruction at each of the 9 program areas. (Please refer to the Camper’s Guide for more program information.) There are 6 sessions per day with one hour-long siesta after lunch.

CAC Day Camp
Day Camp

Day Camp is offered every June, parallels the theme of resident camp, and provides the resident camp experience without the over-night sleeping arrangements. Scouts are divided into rotation groups based on their rank as of 1 June, and rotate around 6 different activity areas including Crafts, STEM/Nature, Sports, Range & Target Activities, Fishing, and Board Games.  Day Camp is offered for one week annually in early June at Deep Run Park in Henrico County.  Parents can drop off as early as 8:15 AM and pick up as late as 5:00 PM.  Day Camp runs Monday through Friday.

CAC Creepy Hollow
Creepy Hollow

Creepy Hollow is an event that happens every October. Since this is event is so popular, the same programming is presented on 2 consecutive weekends! BBs, Archery, wrist rockets, fishing, and climbing coincide with Fall crafts, Gross-Nature/Human experiences in the Nature Lodge, field games, pumpkin painting, water-balloon launching, BMX biking. As night falls and the campfire dies down in the amphitheater, the Haunt begins and is contained to specific areas of the camp so as not to scare those that are not interested in being scared. (Non-scary movies and board games are provided in the Dining Hall as a non-scare alternative.) The early 1800s house in the middle of camp is opened up as our Haunted House and a trail at the back of the amphitheater serves as a Haunted Trail. Campers may arrive Friday night and check-in for the event on Saturday morning at the Welcome Center. The event is for cubs and their siblings of all ages, with scouts participating with their adult partner in a non-scheduled, free flow, carnival atmosphere.

CAC Tiger Lion Rally
Tiger & Lion Rally

Tiger & Lion Rally introduces our younger scouts to the camp environment with a ½ day of activities and picnic lunch. Fishing, BBs for Tigers, and Archery for both ranks, as well as crafts, and a mobile petting zoo round out this event.

CAC Weekend Experiences
Weekend Experience

Weekend Experiences are provided as an a la carte, private event whereby packs or dens register for a morning or afternoon (or both!) of activities ranging from Range activities to fishing or STEM. Overnight camping can also be added.
