Silver Beaver Award
The Heart of Virginia Council’s highest volunteer recognition, the Silver Beaver Award, will be awarded to four highly deserving Scouters. These Scouters have made a huge impact in the lives of youth through their hard work, self-sacrifice, and years of dedicated service.
Introduced in 1931, the Silver Beaver award is a BSA Council-level distinguished service award. We are proud to present this special award to the following volunteers.

Nominate a Leader for the 2024 Silver Beaver Award
Typically, a Scout leader is nominated by his or her peers for several years of service, often including leading projects on the district or council level. The Boy Scouts of America, acting through the National Court of Honor, may award the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to youth.
Nominations for Silver Beavers to be awarded for 2024 must be submitted to the Council Office by November 30, 2024.
