The Heart of Virginia Council is seeking a dedicated Part-Time ScoutReach Program Aid to support our mission of bringing Scouting to underserved youth. This role is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about mentorship, community engagement, and helping young people reach their full potential.
About the Position
ScoutReach Program Aids work alongside our full-time ScoutReach Executive to deliver high-quality programs that inspire, challenge, and support youth. From weekly troop meetings to weekend and summer camping experiences, you’ll play a key role in shaping the Scouting journey for participants while also helping to recruit and guide volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, scheduling, and leading weekly youth meetings
Support weekend and summer camping programs and activities
Promote membership growth through strong programming and retention efforts
Coordinate and implement fellowship events
Safely transport youth using Council vans
Qualifications
21 years of age or older
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Valid driver’s license
This part-time position offers $18.00/hour and the chance to make a direct, lasting impact in the lives of young people. As a ScoutReach Program Aid, you’ll help instill Scouting’s values of leadership, service, and resilience in the next generation.
