Celebrating Growth and Leadership at the Heart of Virginia Council’s Annual Meeting

On June 17th, the Heart of Virginia Council held its Annual Meeting, marking a moment of reflection, celebration, and transition. We were proud to report continued growth in membership, a testament to the dedication of our volunteers, families, and staff.

We expressed heartfelt gratitude to several outgoing leaders for their outstanding service, including Commissioners, Board Chair Damian Klute, and Council Commissioner Paul Kreckman. Their contributions have left a lasting impact on Scouting in Central Virginia.

We were also pleased to welcome our newly appointed Board Chair, Jeff Miscikowski, and Council Commissioner, Sharlee LaBrecque, along with the members of the newly sworn-in Commissioner’s Cabinet. Their leadership will guide our council into an exciting future.

The meeting was presided over by our CEO / Scout Executive, George McGovern, who shared a vision of continued momentum and opportunity for the youth we serve. Together, we look forward to building on our successes and delivering the promise of Scouting to even more families in the year ahead.
