1 Day for BSA, Scout It Forward!

In communities across America, Scouting’s lasting impact can be seen, heard, and felt. Here in central Virginia, nearly 13,000 families rely on Scouting to develop strong character in their children.

Many young people desperately need the values and leadership that Scouting offers. We need your help in delivering the promise of Scouting to as many youth as possible.

There are many exciting days in the life of a Scout. One day they are putting on a Cub Scout uniform, one day advancing to earn a rank, and one day camping under the stars. These one days add up to a lifetime of positive character development.

Scouts learn to serve their community and this year alone, ours have collected enough food to provide over 600,000 meals for the hungry, completed 265 Eagle Scout projects, and worked over 50,000 volunteer hours… all in the name of helping other people.

More youth will benefit from Scouting with your support.

A non-profit, the Heart of Virginia Council, raises more than 40% of its operating budget from individuals who care to provide Scouting’s values-based programs to all interested youth, regardless of their ability to pay. Please join us on April 25th for 1 Day for BSA. This giving campaign will raise funds to ensure the lifelong gift of Scouting is accessible to all children.
