Tour Plan  - the defined reasons/times when a tour plan must be submitted for council review:

o Trips of 500 miles or more
o Trips outside of council borders not to a council owned property
o Trips to any national high-adventure base, National Scout Jamboree, National Order of the Arrow Conference, or regionally
   sponsored event
o When conducting the following activities outside of council or district events:
  > Aquatics activities (swimming, boating, floating, scuba, ets.)
  > Climbing and rappelling
  > Orientation flights
  >  Shooting sports
  > Any activities involving motorized vehicles as part of the program (snowmobiles, boating, etc.)

Tour plans must be filed in the Scout Service Center two weeks in advance of trip. We are being inundated with permit requests 1-3 days before trips. Therefore, if a tour permit is not in the office within 7 days of your trip the permit will be stamped, dated and filed, but WILL NOT be sent back to you. As long as your permit is in the office you are covered.

It is preferred that tour plans be completed online at www.MyScouting.org.  The turn around time for approval is faster using the online method.
