Online Registration System is Live!

Online registration is now live! We are excited to offer prospective youth members a more convenient and efficient way to join Scouting. This means units will spend less time chasing applications, collecting money, and dropping off applications! The online registration system to welcome and register new Scouts is now available for your unit!

To access and implement the on-line registration system, please review the list below to ensure you have completed all necessary steps. Each unit’s Key 3 (top unit leader, committee chairman, and charter organization representative) will have access to the system.

 1.  Create or update your My.Scouting account profile.

 2.  Update your “Contact Us” pin in BeAScout.orgIn My.Scouting, update the “Contact Us” pin in to start accepting applications. Units must change their Pin Mode to Unit, Status to Active, and Apply Status to Active. You can add your unit’s web address, primary contact info., etc.

 3.  Configure the Online Registration Tool (pg. 8)The Council has configured the On-Line Registration System to accept credit card payment only when registration is submitted. Only the BSA national registration fee and Boy’s Life subscription fee is collected through the online system. Units have the capability to inform applicants about any activity fee, the amount, and what it covers. 

4.  Watch the Training Videos.

5.  Review and Bookmark the Guidebook.

6.  Complete your Preparation Checklist.

7.  Check your emails for a summary of actions to take. If you receive an email it means a lead or applicant on your dashboard needs a response. Responding within 24 hours of receiving new leads or new applications is very important!

8.  Review the FAQ Document.

Council is currently only accepting youth applications online. Adult applications cannot be submitted online because all adult volunteers must complete youth protection training before registering.
