Welcome to this website for the Heart of Virginia Council. These are exciting times for the Boy Scouts of America, and I thank you for your support of Scouting in central Virginia and nationally. Our local council serves a 24-county, 4-city footprint that includes nearly 600 individual Scouting units and over 14,000 young people in Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Exploring programs. These units and youth are supported by nearly 6,000 adult volunteers. The council service center at 4015 Fitzhugh Avenue in Richmond is home to the Scout Shop, the only retail outlet in central Virginia for Scouting uniforms, insignia, literature and equipment. Whether you are new to the program, or one of our longest-tenured financial supporters, our council staff is ready to serve you. This site can assist you in finding individual Scouting units to join, reviewing our camping facilities, scanning the district and council calendar events, making a financial gift or with many other searches or inquiries.
